Job Description

A Civil Site Storekeeper manages construction site inventory by receiving, storing, and issuing materials, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring stock rotation. Key duties include checking stock levels, recording material movements, and coordinating with suppliers. The role requires strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills to ensure operational efficiency on construction projects.

Material Management:

Receive, inspect, and store materials and equipment in a designated area.

Inventory Control:

Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials, conducting regular stock counts to ensure accuracy.

Stock Rotation:

Manage stock levels and ensure that older stock is used first (FIFO - First-In, First-Out) to prevent obsolescence.

Record Keeping:

Maintain a logbook of material receipts, issues, and dispatches.

Coordination:

Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and other departments regarding material needs and deliveries.

Safety and Security:

Ensure materials are stored safely and securely to prevent damage or loss.

Reporting:

Prepare reports on stock levels, material usage, and any discrepancies found.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

Previous experience as a storekeeper, especially in construction, is highly valued. Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in using store management software or ERP systems for inventory tracking is often required. Immediate joiners are preferred. Freshers can also apply.
