Job Description

Inventory Management

Maintain optimum inventory levels for sheet metal components, raw materials, tools, and consumables. Ensure timely receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials as per company standards.

Material Handling & Control

Supervise loading, unloading, and physical movement of sheet metal materials and fabricated parts. Ensure proper identification, labeling, and traceability of all items in the store. Maintain segregation between raw materials, finished goods, and scrap.

Additional Advantage of knowing SAP

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports using SAP. Ensure data accuracy and reconciliation between physical and system stock.

Coordination

Coordinate with

Production, Purchase, and Quality

departments to ensure material availability for smooth production flow. Liaise with vendors and transporters for timely delivery and dispatches.

Sheet Metal Knowledge

Understand sheet metal grades, thickness, and specifications for correct identification and storage. Work closely with the production team for material planning related to sheet metal fabrication, bending, welding, and finishing processes.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain all inward/outward documentation, inspection reports, and rejection notes. Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, and ISO standards within the store area. Conduct periodic cycle counts and annual physical stock verification.

Team Supervision

Lead and train store personnel in safe material handling, SAP transactions, and documentation practices. Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate with B.Com Stream / Production

Experience:

3-5 years in store management (preferably in sheet metal / fabrication industry).

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in

SAP (MM Module)

, MS Office, and inventory control methods. Strong knowledge of sheet metal materials and fabrication processes for extra advantage. Excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills.
