Job Summary:

The Store Incharge will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, components, and finished goods in a

sheet metal machinery manufacturing

environment. The role ensures accurate inventory management, proper documentation, and smooth coordination between the stores, production, and purchase departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day store operations, including receiving, storing, and issuing of materials. Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory in ERP / system software. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of raw materials, tools, and finished goods. Conduct regular stock verification and reconciliation with system records. Monitor material movement to avoid shortages or overstocking. Coordinate with the purchase and production departments for timely availability of materials. Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and safety norms in store handling. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports. Inspect materials received for quantity and quality as per purchase orders. Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within the store area. Assist in material dispatch and logistics coordination.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of

sheet metal components, mechanical parts, and consumables

. Proficiency in

ERP / SAP / MS Excel

for inventory management. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling. Good communication and coordination skills. Understanding of safety and material handling procedures.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Inventory accuracy and variance control. Timely issuance and availability of materials. Compliance with storage and safety standards. Reduction in material wastage and stock discrepancies. Efficient documentation and reporting.
