Job Summary:



The Store Incharge is responsible for the overall management of store operations, including receipt, storage, issue, and accounting of all materials. The role ensures proper inventory control, timely availability of materials, and maintenance of accurate stock records to support smooth production and project activities.

Key Responsibilities:



Manage day-to-day store operations and ensure smooth flow of materials. Receive incoming materials, check quantity and quality against purchase orders, and update stock records. Ensure proper storage, identification, and tagging of materials. Issue materials to production, maintenance, and other departments as per approved requisitions. Maintain accurate stock ledgers and ensure timely data entry in ERP or Excel systems. Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies. Coordinate with the Purchase and Accounts departments for GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and invoice processing. Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions for replenishment. Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out) methods wherever applicable. Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and security of all store materials. Maintain records for rejected, damaged, or returned goods and ensure proper disposal procedures. Prepare periodic reports such as stock status, consumption reports, and slow/non-moving items. Supervise store assistants and helpers and ensure discipline within the department.

Key Skills Required:



Strong knowledge of storekeeping and inventory management practices. Familiarity with ERP software or MS Excel for inventory tracking. Good understanding of material classification and stock control. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.

Educational Qualification:



Diploma / B.E. / B.Com / BBA or any equivalent qualification. Certification in Materials Management will be an added advantage.

Experience:



3 to 8 years of experience in store/inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
