Job Description

The Stores In-Charge is responsible for managing the factory's inventory, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and distribution of raw materials, spare parts, and finished goods. This role involves maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring timely replenishment, and optimizing space utilization to support smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management:



Maintain accurate stock records of raw materials, tools, spare parts, and finished goods. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all items to prevent damage or loss. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies. Implement inventory control measures to minimize wastage and pilferage.

Procurement & Stock Replenishment:



Coordinate with the purchase department for timely procurement of materials. Monitor stock levels and generate purchase requisitions as needed. Ensure receipt and verification of incoming materials as per purchase orders.

Store Operations & Organization:



Maintain a well-organized and clean storage area. Optimize space utilization for efficient material handling. Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and LIFO (Last-In-First-Out) principles as required.

Dispatch & Logistics:



Ensure timely dispatch of materials and finished goods to production or external customers. Coordinate with logistics for smooth transportation and delivery. Maintain records of inward and outward movement of stock.

Compliance & Safety:



Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and factory regulations in storage and material handling. Maintain documentation as per company policies and regulatory requirements. Train store personnel on proper material handling and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications & Skills:



Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in a store or warehouse management role in a manufacturing unit. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software. Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.

Preferred Skills:



Experience in lean inventory management. Knowledge of factory operations and supply chain logistics. Familiarity with material handling equipment and safety standards.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
