Responsible for overall management of the store/warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory control, timely receipt and issue of materials, and compliance with safety and quality standards. Ensures smooth coordination with procurement, accounts, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
Conduct regular stock verification and reconciliation with ERP/physical stock.
Monitor reorder levels and raise indents for replenishment.
Material Handling & Storage
Ensure proper storage, tagging, and identification of all materials.
Implement FIFO (First In First Out) and other inventory control techniques.
Prevent damage, theft, or loss through effective safeguards.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare GRN (Goods Receipt Notes), issue slips, and other relevant documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and audit standards.
Maintain daily/weekly/monthly stock reports for management.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with procurement, accounts, and project/site teams for material requirements.
Support timely dispatch of materials to various sites/projects.
Safety & Housekeeping
Enforce workplace safety, fire prevention, and housekeeping standards.
Train store staff in safe material handling and emergency procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in Commerce/Business Administration/Logistics or equivalent.
3-7 years of experience in store/warehouse operations, preferably in [industry: construction/manufacturing/retail etc.].
Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.
