Job Summary:



We are looking for a dedicated and experienced

Store Incharge

with 5 to 8 years of experience in managing construction stores, preferably in

government building infrastructure projects

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all site store operations, inventory control, material receiving/issuing, and documentation in accordance with project and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:



Manage and maintain the construction site store efficiently. Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming materials as per purchase orders. Issue construction materials to site staff based on indent approvals. Maintain accurate records of materials received and issued (GRNs, MRs, SRVs). Monitor stock levels and ensure timely requisition of materials to avoid shortages. Ensure safe storage, handling, and preservation of materials as per standards. Conduct regular physical stock verifications and reconcile discrepancies. Maintain inventory management system and update stock registers regularly. Coordinate with procurement, accounts, and site execution teams. Ensure that government project documentation and compliance norms are strictly followed. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly store reports. Prevent pilferage, wastage, and damage to stored materials. Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and stacking of materials for traceability.

Candidate Requirements:



5 to 8 years of experience in storekeeping roles in

building construction projects

, especially in

government infrastructure works

. Strong knowledge of construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, electrical/plumbing items, etc. Familiarity with government storekeeping procedures, formats, and documentation. Basic knowledge of inventory software (e.g., MS Excel, Tally, or ERP tools). Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage high volumes of materials. Honest, reliable, and disciplined with a proactive work approach.

Preferred Qualification:



Graduate or Diploma in Store Management / Logistics / Supply Chain / Civil or related field. Experience with CPWD/State PWD/PSU or other

government-related construction projects

will be an added advantage.
