Job Description

The Store In-Charge will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and controlling all construction materials, tools, and equipment at the project/site stores. This role ensures proper receipt, storage, issue, and documentation of materials as per company standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:



Material Management:

Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, consumables, tools, and equipment at the store. Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and storage to prevent damage and maintain quality. Regularly monitor stock levels and issue materials to site staff as per approved requisitions.

Inventory Control:

Maintain accurate stock records (manual and/or ERP/software). Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile with physical quantities. Prepare and share daily/weekly/monthly stock reports with project/site management.

Coordination & Communication:

Coordinate with procurement and project teams for timely availability of materials. Communicate shortages, excesses, or damaged materials to management. Liaise with suppliers and transporters for delivery follow-ups if required.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure proper documentation of receipts, issues, returns, and stock adjustments. Maintain GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), MRNs (Material Requisition Notes), and issue slips. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and audit requirements.

Safety & Housekeeping:

Maintain cleanliness and safety in the store premises. Ensure fire safety and proper handling of hazardous materials.

Key Skills & Competencies:



Strong knowledge of construction materials and equipment. Good organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to use inventory management systems / ERP software. Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet project timelines.

Qualifications & Experience:



Graduate / Diploma in any discipline (Preferred: Materials Management / Supply Chain). 5-10 years of experience in store management, preferably in construction/infrastructure projects. Knowledge of ERP / MS Office (Excel, Word) is mandatory.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
