About the Role:
We are looking for a Stores Head - Plant to lead and control all storekeeping activities at the plant level. The role involves managing inventory, ensuring timely availability of materials, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with Production, Purchase, and Finance to support uninterrupted plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Head overall plant stores operations including raw materials, consumables, spares, and finished goods.
Ensure timely receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of materials as per plant requirements.
Maintain accurate inventory records, stock registers, and MIS reports.
Implement inventory control practices to minimize shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence.
Coordinate closely with Purchase, Production, Maintenance, and Accounts departments.
Ensure proper material identification, storage layout, safety, and housekeeping standards.
Monitor GRN, material issue slips, stock transfers, and system entries (ERP).
Lead and supervise store staff, allocate duties, and ensure discipline and compliance.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and records.
Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements related to stores.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate / Post Graduate (preferably in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering).
7+ years of experience in plant stores or industrial inventory management.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, stores procedures, and ERP systems.
Leadership and team-handling capability.
Good coordination, planning, and reporting skills.
Ability to work in a plant-based operational environment.
