Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, and stock balances through inventory software (e.g., ERP, SAP).
Ensure proper storage of medical supplies, surgical items, pharmaceuticals, and general consumables.
Monitor stock levels and raise requisitions for replenishment to avoid shortages.
Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile variances.
Coordinate with the purchase and accounts departments for timely material procurement and billing.
Ensure proper documentation as per NABH / JCI standards.
Verify GRN (Goods Received Notes) and cross-check invoices.
Maintain FIFO/FEFO system (First-In-First-Out / First-Expiry-First-Out) for inventory handling.
Follow hygiene and safety protocols for storage areas.
Track expiry dates and manage disposal of expired or damaged stock as per hospital norms.
Manage inward and outward material movement with proper documentation.
Assist in annual audits and support in inventory report preparation.
Handle vendor communications related to delivery schedules, quality issues, and order confirmations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree
Experience:
2-3 years of experience in store or inventory management (preferably in hospitals or the healthcare sector).
Knowledge of medical consumables, surgical items, and pharmaceutical materials.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Excel and Inventory Management Software (ERP, SAP, etc.)
Knowledge of GST, Purchase Order process, and GRN entries.
Other Skills:
Strong analytical and organisational skills
