Job Summary
The Store Officer will assist in managing the inward receipt, storage, and coordination of finished goods from production, vendors, and filling processes. This role involves working closely with the packaging team, adhering to FIFO inventory principles, and maintaining hygiene, temperature, and humidity standards in the store. The Store Officer will report to the Store Manager and contribute to smooth store operations through accurate record-keeping and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Inward Receipt of Finished Goods (FG): Receive and verify FG from production, vendors, and filling processes. Conduct quality checks, document receipts accurately, and update inventory records in the designated system.
Coordination with Packaging Team: Collaborate with the packaging team to ensure timely transfer of goods for packaging or dispatch, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
FIFO Implementation: Follow First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles to organize inventory, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimizing waste or spoilage.
Hygiene Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the store by adhering to cleaning schedules, supporting pest control measures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Environmental Monitoring: Regularly check and record temperature and humidity levels in the storage area using monitoring equipment. Report any deviations to the Store Manager for corrective action.
Inventory Tracking: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting periodic stock checks, and reporting discrepancies to the Store Manager.
Support Store Operations: Assist with organizing the store layout, labeling goods, and ensuring efficient use of storage space.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards ISO 13485. Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
Qualifications and Requirements
Graduate or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
2-4 years of experience in a warehouse, store, or inventory-related role.
Basic understanding of inventory management systems (e.g., ERP software) and FIFO principles.
Familiarity with hygiene standards and environmental control processes (temperature and humidity monitoring).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
Physical ability to handle goods and perform tasks such as lifting or moving inventory (as needed).
Skills
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word) for record-keeping.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
Problem-solving skills to address minor operational issues.
Time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
