Material Inward and Outward Management
Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming and outgoing materials, including consumables, spares, blasting explosives, and plant/mine materials as per purchase orders and delivery notes.
Ensure proper documentation (GRN, gate pass) and record keeping for all inward/outward movement.
Inventory Control and Stock Management
Maintain an organised and categorised stock.
Conduct regular physical inventory audit and reconcile with system records.
Maintain inventory of critical spares (filters, oils, brake kits, hydraulic hoses, etc.).
Issue and process purchase requisitions; coordinate with Procurement for timely deliveries.
Conduct stock audits and reconcile discrepancies with the Account Department.
Blasting Explosives Inventory Management
Oversee the safe storage, handling, and issuance of blasting explosives inventory.
Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Keep detailed records of stock levels, issuance, and usage for authorised personnel only.
Vehicle and Equipment Consumables Stock
Manage diesel, petrol, DEF stocks, including timely procurement and documentation of invoices/memos.
Monitor fuel filling for trucks and machines and maintain dispensing sheets/logs.
Track usage and maintain records of tyres, lubricants, and oils for fleet and machinery.
Documentation and Compliance
Ensure all stocks are managed as per company policies and statutory regulations.
Maintain material gate passes, monthly inventory reports, and safety documentation, particularly for hazardous materials like explosives and fuel.
Reporting and MIS
Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports that cover material receipts, issues, balances, consumption trends, and ageing stock.
Promptly highlight discrepancies or stock variances to management.
Contribute to budget and procurement planning.
Safety, Housekeeping, and Security
Ensure that all materials, particularly hazardous items such as explosives and fuels, are stored according to safety guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
Collaborate with security to prevent theft and unauthorized access.
Implement training and procedures for staff on safe handling practices..
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree (BBA), preferred specialisation in Logistics, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in warehouse/store management preferred, ideally in the mining industry.
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices (e.g., FIFO, stock control).
Understanding of procurement processes and documentation (e.g., Purchase Requisitions, Goods Receipt Notes, Gate Passes).
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for storing hazardous materials.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with various departments.
