This position typically involves working in a storage or warehouse environment.

Storekeepers may need to lift and move heavy items and should be physically capable of doing so.

Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and products.

Maintain accurate records of all items in stock, including quantities, condition, and expiration dates.

Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent stock outs.

Organize and categorize items in storage areas for easy access.

Ensure that items are stored in a safe and secure manner to prevent damage or loss. Implement a systematic storage system to optimize space and minimize waste.

Prepare and pack items for delivery to project sites as requested by project managers and designers.

Maintain a log of items distributed to various projects, ensuring that records are up-to-date.

Inspect items for quality and functionality before distribution.

Report any damaged or defective items to the appropriate personnel for resolution. Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including receipts, issuances, and returns.

Generate regular reports on inventory status and usage.

Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

Evaluate supplier performance and recommend changes if necessary.

Enforce security measures to prevent theft and unauthorized access to the storage area.

Ensure that safety protocols and guidelines are followed when handling and storing materials.

Assist in controlling costs by optimizing inventory levels and minimizing waste.

Identify cost-effective procurement opportunities and recommend cost-saving measures.
