The Store Executive is responsible for the efficient and accurate management of all materials, consumables, and finished goods within the unit's store. This role involves overseeing the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of various items, ensuring smooth production operations and minimizing waste. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and inventory management skills.
Responsibilities:
Material Receipt and Inspection:
Receive and verify incoming materials ( dyes, chemicals, packaging materials, etc.) against purchase orders and delivery challans.
Inspect the quality and quantity of received goods, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damages.
Ensure proper documentation of received materials, including GRNs (Goods Received Notes) and other relevant records.
Storage and Organization:
Organize and maintain the store in a clean, safe, and systematic manner, ensuring easy identification and retrieval of materials.
Implement proper storage procedures based on material type, safety guidelines, and FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
Ensure proper labeling and identification of all stored items.
Material Issuance:
Issue materials to production departments based on authorized requisitions and production schedules.
Maintain accurate records of issued materials, including date, quantity, and receiving department.
Ensure timely and efficient issuance of materials to avoid production delays.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records, both manually and electronically (using ERP or inventory management software).
Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile them with system records.
Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, and excess stock.
Assist in the preparation of inventory reports and analysis.
Monitor stock levels and initiate timely requests for replenishment to avoid stockouts.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all store transactions, including receipts, issues, returns, and stock adjustments.
Prepare and submit relevant reports as required by the Store Manager or Production Manager.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to store operations.
Safety and Security:
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures within the store.
Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials, if applicable.
Maintain the security of the store and prevent unauthorized access.
Coordination and Communication:
Coordinate with the purchase department regarding material deliveries and discrepancies.
Communicate effectively with production departments regarding material availability and issuance.
Liaise with other departments as required for smooth store operations.
Other Responsibilities:
Assist in the identification and disposal of obsolete or damaged materials.
Participate in process improvement initiatives related to store management.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the management.
