Job Description

Ensure availability of raw materials (CR/HR sheets, coils, pipes, etc.) as per production plan Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or over-stocking Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory Conduct periodic physical stock verification and resolve variances Verify incoming materials against PO, challan, and quality specifications Coordinate with QC for material inspection and acceptance Ensure FIFO / FEFO practices for material issue Timely issue of material to production as per BOM and production schedule Maintain accurate records in ERP (GRN, material issue, returns, scrap) Ensure proper documentation for inward, outward, and inter-store transfers Generate MIS reports on stock, consumption, and variance Support audits through proper documentation and traceability Segregation and identification of scrap (MS, SS, Al) Accurate recording of scrap generation and disposal Minimize material wastage through process control and analysis Coordinate scrap sales and compliance with company policy Maintain finished goods inventory accuracy Ensure proper packing, labeling, and dispatch as per customer requirements Coordinate with logistics for timely dispatch Ensure FIFO for finished goods
