The Store & Billing Associate is responsible for managing in-store billing, customer handling, and daily store operations. This role ensures a smooth checkout experience, accurate billing, inventory coordination, and excellent customer service while maintaining brand standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Billing & POS Operations
Handle billing using POS systems (cash, UPI, cards, wallets).
Generate invoices, exchange bills, and return bills as per policy.
Ensure accuracy in pricing, discounts, offers, and GST billing.
Maintain daily cash reconciliation and closing reports.
2. Customer Service
Greet customers and assist them throughout their shopping journey.
Handle customer queries related to pricing, sizes, availability, returns, and exchanges.
Explain ongoing offers, sales (Black Friday, Festive Sales, etc.), and store policies clearly.
Manage customer complaints politely and escalate when required.
3. Store Operations
Maintain cleanliness and visual presentation of the billing counter.
Assist with product tagging, steaming, folding, and display when required.
Coordinate with the store team during peak hours.
Ensure adherence to brand SOPs and store discipline.
4. Inventory & Stock Coordination
Assist in inward stock entry and basic inventory tracking.
Update sold items in the system and inform the team about low stock.
Support stock audits and daily stock checks when required.
5. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily sales reports.
Maintain billing records and documentation.
Coordinate with accounts/operations team for discrepancies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum
12th pass / Graduate preferred

1-3 years experience in
retail billing or fashion store operations
.
Familiar with
POS systems, GST billing, and UPI/card payments
.
Basic computer knowledge (Excel, billing software).
Good communication skills (English + local language).
Presentable, polite, and customer-friendly attitude.
Preferred Skills (Bonus)
Experience in
fashion / apparel / ethnic wear stores
.
Understanding of sales offers, exchange & return policies.
Ability to handle high-footfall days and sale periods calmly.
