The PDI Incharge is responsible for carrying out and supervising all Pre-Delivery Inspections for new two-wheelers arriving at the dealership.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Vehicle Inspection
Perform complete PDI for all incoming two-wheelers as per OEM guidelines.
Check mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, and safety components (brakes, lights, horn, battery, engine oil, tyre pressure, etc.).
Inspect for transit damage, missing parts, scratches, dents, and overall fit & finish.
Conduct test rides where required to ensure vehicle performance compliance.
B. Documentation & Records
Maintain PDI checklists, job cards, inspection records, and digital entries in DMS/ERP.
Update stock readiness status for sales and service teams.
Record any transit damage or defect and raise appropriate claim/complaint to OEM.
C. Coordination
Coordinate with service technicians for rectification of defects identified during inspection.
Inform the sales team when the vehicle is ready for delivery.
Liaise with the logistics team for proper vehicle unloading, parking, and stock arrangement.
D. Quality & Compliance
Ensure every vehicle meets OEM delivery standards before handing over to sales.
Ensure mandatory fitments (mirrors, saree guard, MRF/ISI items, accessories) are installed correctly.
Follow safety practices and maintain housekeeping in the PDI bay.
