Job Description

A Store Assistant / Delivery Driver supports daily store operations and handles customer deliveries, involving tasks like customer service, inventory management, product stocking, order packaging, and safe vehicle operation. Key duties include greeting customers, assisting with questions, keeping the store organized and clean, loading and unloading products, driving to customers' locations, and accurately processing payments or signatures. Strong organizational skills, communication, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations:

Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and assisting with purchases. Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy store environment and work area. Unpack and check incoming deliveries, ensuring quality and reporting any damage or missing items. Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and manage inventory levels. Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash or collecting signatures.

Delivery Operations:

Load and secure products in the delivery vehicle. Safely operate a delivery vehicle (e.g., van, truck) to deliver products to customers. Navigate efficiently, manage routes, and work in various weather conditions. Unload and deliver packages to customers, ensuring product integrity. Collect payments, make change, and obtain customer signatures upon delivery. Retrieve any damaged or out-of-code products from customer locations.

Ability to interact positively with customers and provide a friendly, helpful experience.

Strong verbal skills for customer interactions and internal communication.

Skills to keep the store, inventory, and delivery vehicle tidy and well-arranged.

Attention to Detail:

Thoroughness in tasks such as checking deliveries, processing orders, and handling payments.

Reliability:

Punctuality, trustworthiness, and a strong work ethic.

Driving Skills:

A valid driver's license (with potentially a clean record), comfort driving in different conditions, and the ability to handle the vehicle safely.

Teamwork:

Ability to work effectively as part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Fitness:

Stamina to lift items, get in and out of vehicles, and work on your feet throughout the shift.

Technical Familiarity:

Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems or hand-held devices for routing and delivery information.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹19,000.00 per month
