The Store Assistant will be responsible for maintaining proper records of materials, assisting in day-to-day store operations, ensuring timely receipt and issue of stock, and maintaining stock levels as per company requirements. The role ensures smooth operations of store activities with accuracy, discipline, and proper documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in receiving materials from vendors, production unit, or internal departments.
Inspect and verify the quantity and quality of incoming materials as per purchase order/ challan.
Properly store, arrange, and label goods in designated locations.
Maintain accurate records of incoming & outgoing stock in software/manual register.
Issue materials as per requisition slip and update stock records instantly.
Perform daily physical stock counting and assist in monthly/annual stock audits.
Maintain FIFO method and ensure no material expiry/damage due to improper storage.
Assist in packing, loading, unloading, and monitoring material handling.
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Dispatch, and Accounts department for stock-related queries.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the store area.
Report stock shortage, excess, damage, or mismatch immediately to Store In-Charge.
