Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Store Assistant will support in maintaining proper stock records, handling material receipts and issues, ensuring safe storage, and assisting in day-to-day store operations to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials at the site/office.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in receiving, checking, and recording incoming materials and supplies. Issue materials to site staff or departments as per requirements and approvals. Maintain proper stock records in register/software on daily basis. Support the Store Keeper in conducting physical verification of stock. Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage, loss, or wastage. Keep store area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Assist in preparation of daily/weekly/monthly stock reports. Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and site teams for smooth material movement. Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately to the Store Keeper/Manager. Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and arrangement of materials.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum qualification: Graduate / 12th pass (commerce/related field preferred). Prior experience of 1-3 years in stores/inventory management (construction/industrial preferred). Basic knowledge of MS Excel and inventory software (if applicable). Good communication and coordination skills. Attention to detail and record-keeping ability. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support site requirements.
