The Store Executive is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, supplies, and equipment in an organized and efficient manner. The role ensures accurate inventory control, timely material availability, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:1. Material Management
Receive incoming materials, verify quantity and quality against purchase orders/invoices.
Record all receipts and issues of materials in the inventory management system.
Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and storage of materials to prevent damage or loss.
Issue materials to departments as per requisitions and maintain accurate documentation.
2. Inventory Control
Maintain updated stock records (manual or electronic).
Conduct regular stock verification and assist in monthly/annual physical stock audits.
Identify slow-moving, non-moving, or obsolete stock items and report to the Store Manager.
Ensure reorder levels are maintained to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
3. Coordination
Coordinate with the Purchase, Accounts, and Production departments for timely supply of materials.
Follow up with suppliers for pending deliveries or discrepancies in supply.
Maintain communication with internal departments regarding inventory needs and delivery schedules.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), Material Issue Slips, and other store documents.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
Ensure accurate data entry into ERP/inventory software.
5. Compliance & Housekeeping
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of the store area.
Adhere to company policies on stock handling, safety, and documentation.
Ensure all materials are stored per their nature (flammable, fragile, temperature-sensitive, etc.).
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Graduate / Diploma in Material Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
Experience:
1-5 years in store/inventory management (industry-specific experience preferred).
Skills:
Knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, ERP).
Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word).
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
