Accept deliveries, verify against orders/invoices, refuse damaged goods, and store items neatly, cleanly, and according to hygiene/safety rules (e.g., FIFO, temperature control).
Issuing Supplies:
Accurately issue items to departments (Housekeeping, F&B, etc.) based on requisitions, ensuring timely delivery.
Inventory Management:
Assist with regular stock counts, monitor par levels, maintain stock records, and report low stock to the Storekeeper for reordering.
Organization & Cleanliness:
Keep storerooms, walk-in coolers, and shelves clean, organized, and in good condition, complying with hygiene regulations.
Documentation:
File invoices, delivery notes, and other store-related documents properly.
Support:
Assist the Storekeeper with daily tasks, audits, and training, and potentially operate equipment like forklifts if needed.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
Previous experience in storeroom, inventory, or materials management is beneficial.
Knowledge:
Basic understanding of inventory control, cost control, hygiene, and safety standards.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, good communication, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a team player.
