Job Description

Receiving and Storage:

Receiving incoming materials:

Coordinating Unloading, inspecting, and verifying deliveries against purchase orders or packing slips.

Storing materials:

Organizing and storing items in a safe, accessible, and organized manner, often following FIFO (first in, first out) principles.

Maintaining storage areas:

Keeping the store area clean, tidy, and compliant with safety regulations.
Inventory Management:

Tracking inventory:

Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, including quantities received, issued, and remaining.

Monitoring stock levels:

Identifying potential shortages or surpluses and initiating appropriate actions, such as reordering or adjusting stock levels.

Conducting stock counts:

Performing regular inventory audits to verify physical stock against records.
Issuing and Dispatching:

Issuing materials:

Providing materials to authorized personnel based on requests or work orders.

Dispatching materials:

Ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of materials to the relevant areas of the construction site.

Maintaining records of issued materials:

Keeping track of materials issued, including quantities, recipients, and dates.
Other Responsibilities:

Maintaining documentation:

Completing necessary paperwork, such as Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Material Requisition Forms (MRFs), and other relevant records.

Coordinating with other departments:

Communicating with procurement, logistics, and other teams to ensure smooth material flow.

Ensuring safety and security:

Following safety protocols, maintaining a safe working environment, and preventing theft or damage to materials.

Reporting:

Preparing inventory reports for management review.
Skills and Qualifications:

Organizational skills:

Ability to manage inventory, track stock levels, and maintain accurate records.

Accuracy in record-keeping, receiving, and issuing materials.
