The Store Assistant supports daily store operations by ensuring proper stocking, cleanliness, customer service, and accurate handling of inventory. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, unload, and arrange stock in shelves or storage areas
Check goods for damage, expiry dates, and quality
Assist customers by providing product information and locating items
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
Support billing/cash counter operations when required
Monitor stock levels and inform the Store In-charge about shortages
Follow FIFO (First In First Out) and store safety procedures
Assist in stock verification and inventory audits
Handle basic documentation and tagging/labeling of products
Follow company policies, discipline, and work schedules
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum qualification: SSLC / Plus Two (preferred)
Basic knowledge of store or retail operations
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Physically fit to handle stock movement
Ability to work in shifts and weekends
Honest, punctual, and responsible
Experience
Fresher or 1-2 years of experience in retail/store operations preferred
