Job Description

A factory inhouse store is a dedicated storage and distribution area within a manufacturing facility, responsible for managing raw materials, components, tools, consumables, and sometimes finished goods required for factory operations.?

Purpose and Functions:

Acts as the centralized hub for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking all materials and inventory used in production.? Ensures materials are available when needed to prevent delays and stoppages in factory workflows.? Maintains detailed records of stock movements, usage, and replenishments for traceability and cost control.? Supports efficient space utilization, safety compliance, and minimizes wastage or loss.? Improves production efficiency by reducing idle time due to material shortages. Enhances inventory accuracy, cost control, and helps meet safety and regulatory standards.? Facilitates smooth inter-departmental coordination and reduces operational bottlenecks.??

Key Activities:

Receiving and inspecting incoming materials for quantity and quality before stocking.? Storing items according to prescribed methods--racking, binning, labeling, and maintaining cleanliness and order.? Tracking issues (dispatch) of materials and tools to various departments using material requisition systems or forms.? Conducting stock checks, cycle counting, and reconciling discrepancies in inventory records.? Managing returns, obsolete or damaged items, and coordinating with suppliers or the purchase department as needed.?

Qualification:

High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in interior factory will add more.?
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
