Key Responsibilities of a Store Assistant in Healthcare:
Inventory Management:
Receiving, verifying, and storing medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
Maintaining accurate records of stock levels and ensuring proper storage conditions.
Participating in inventory counts and cycle counts to minimize discrepancies.
Identifying and reporting any stock shortages or damages.
Customer Service:
Assisting patients and staff with locating and retrieving items.
Answering inquiries and providing information about products and services.
Resolving customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Order Processing:
Receiving and processing purchase orders and requisitions.
Preparing and packing orders for delivery or pick-up.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Assisting with data entry and record-keeping.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
Other Duties:
May assist with stocking shelves or displays.
May assist with cash handling and point-of-sale operations.
May assist with training new staff members.
