The Store Assistant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the store, including receiving, issuing, maintaining stock, updating records, and ensuring proper storage of materials. The role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and coordination with various departments to ensure smooth material flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in receiving, checking, and verifying materials delivered from vendors.
Properly store materials and ensure systematic arrangement for easy retrieval.
Issue materials to concerned departments against approved requisitions.
Maintain records of receipts, issues, and stock balances in register/software.
Assist in conducting physical stock verification and cycle counts.
Ensure compliance with company policies regarding storage, safety, and housekeeping.
Label, tag, and maintain identification of stock items.
Report discrepancies in material receipts/issues to the Store Incharge.
Support in maintaining minimum stock levels and raise purchase requisitions when needed.
Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, and other departments for material-related queries.
Skills & Competencies:
Basic knowledge of storekeeping, inventory management, and record-keeping.
Familiarity with MS Office / Telly software is an advantage.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a team and under supervision.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum: 12th Pass / Diploma or Graduate preferred.
1-3 years of experience in storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory handling (freshers can also be considered).
