The ideal candidate should have experience in
automotive stores, purchasing, inventory management, and vendor follow-up
, preferably from an EV or automobile background.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
Maintain accurate records of inward and outward materials
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and safety of materials
Manage daily stock entries in ERP / Excel / manual registers
Conduct regular stock verification and report shortages/excess
Issue materials to production as per approved requisitions
Purchase & Procurement
Raise Purchase Requests (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO)
Coordinate with approved vendors for raw materials, spares, and consumables
Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery
Compare quotations and assist in cost negotiations
Ensure materials meet quality and specification requirements
Inventory & Documentation
Maintain minimum stock levels and avoid stock-outs
Track slow-moving and non-moving inventory
Maintain invoices, GRNs, delivery challans, and purchase records
Support audits and internal stock checks
Coordination
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Accounts, and Management teams
Communicate material status and shortages proactively
Requirements & Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Mechanical, or related field
1-4 years experience in Store & Purchase role (Automotive / EV preferred)
Knowledge of automotive spare parts, raw materials, and consumables
Basic knowledge of GST, invoicing, and purchase documentation
Proficiency in MS Excel (stock sheets, tracking)
ERP experience is an added advantage
Good communication and vendor-handling skills
Skills Required
