We are looking for a Store Accounts Head is responsible for managing all financial and accounting functions at the store level. This includes cash handling, billing, daily reconciliation, inventory accounting, compliance with statutory requirements, and financial reporting. The role ensures financial accuracy, supports audits, and enforces control systems within the jewellery store.
Key Responsibilities
:
1. Financial Management
:
Manage day-to-day accounting functions of the store, including billing, receipts, payments, and ledger entries.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
2. Cash & Bank Reconciliation
:
Monitor daily cash inflows/outflows and reconcile with POS system.
Prepare daily cash reports and ensure bank deposits are made accurately.
Handle petty cash and maintain records of expenses.
3. Inventory Accounting
:
Track inward and outward movement of jewellery and raw materials.
Reconcile physical inventory with accounting records during stock audits.
Work closely with the inventory team to ensure data accuracy.
4. Taxation & Compliance
:
Handle GST entries, filing, and TDS deductions as per statutory norms.
Ensure compliance with all accounting and legal standards related to jewellery (e.g., BIS Hallmarking, invoicing norms, etc.).
Maintain customer KYC documentation as per regulatory requirements.
5. Reporting & Documentation
:
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and submit to HO/management.
Maintain all vouchers, receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation.
Assist with internal and external audits and provide necessary data.
6. Coordination & Support
:
Coordinate with the head office accounts team for reconciliations, approvals, and reports.
Support the store team with finance-related queries and ensure smooth operations.
Implement and monitor internal control systems to minimize pilferage and financial discrepancies.
Key Skills & Competencies
:
Strong accounting and financial management knowledge
Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, and MS Excel
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Understanding of inventory and jewellery accounting practices
Integrity, confidentiality, and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Qualifications
:
B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent
Experience in retail or jewellery sector preferred
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and audit procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
