Job Title: Storage Engineer



Position: Senior Systems Engineer

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Architecture & Design

o Design and implement enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, DAS).

o Plan capacity, performance tuning, and storage tiering strategies.

o Integrate storage with virtualization and cloud platforms.

Administration & Operations

o Manage storage arrays (e.g., NetApp, EMC, Dell, HPE, IBM).

o Configure RAID, LUN provisioning, zoning, and masking.

o Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Performance & Troubleshooting

o Monitor storage performance using tools like SRM, Unisphere, or OnCommand.

o Resolve escalated issues from L1/L2 teams.

o Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents.

Security & Compliance

o Apply storage security best practices and encryption.

o Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

o Manage access controls and audit logs.

Automation & Optimization

o Develop scripts for storage automation (PowerShell, Python).

o Optimize storage utilization and cost efficiency.

o Implement storage replication and snapshot strategies.

Collaboration & Documentation

o Work closely with virtualization, backup, and network teams.

o Maintain detailed documentation and operational runbooks.

o Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.



Required Skills

Expertise in SAN/NAS technologies and storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB). Hands-on experience with major storage vendors (NetApp, EMC, Dell, HPE). Knowledge of backup and replication tools (Veeam, Commvault). Familiarity with cloud storage integration (Azure, AWS). Proficiency in scripting for automation.


Preferred Certifications

NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA). Dell EMC Storage Administrator. HPE ASE - Storage Solutions Architect. ITIL Foundation is a plus.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to lead projects and work independently.

Proven experience of delivering process efficiencies and improvements

Clear and fluent English (both verbal and written)

Ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with remote teams

Demonstrate ability to take ownership of and accountability for relevant products and services
