Job Title: Stock & Inventory Executive / Store Incharge
Department: Stores & Inventory
Location: Factory Office (Fabrication Unit)
Reporting To: Factory Manager / Operations Head
Job Purpose:
To manage, control, and maintain stock and inventory of raw materials, consumables, tools, and finished goods required for fabrication work. Ensure proper documentation, timely availability of material, and accurate stock records to support smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of raw material, consumables, spares, and finished goods.
Monitor daily stock levels and issue materials to production as per requirements.
Conduct regular stock verification (daily/weekly/monthly) and reconcile with system records.
2. Material Handling & Storage:
Ensure safe storage of steel, plates, sections, fasteners, welding consumables, paints, etc.
Proper stacking, labeling, and identification of material.
Maintain housekeeping and safety in store area.
3. Material Inward & Outward:
Check and verify materials received against purchase orders (quantity & quality).
Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and update stock registers/software.
Issue material to production and subcontractors against requisitions.
Maintain records of material sent for subcontracting/fabrication.
4. Documentation & Systems:
Maintain stock register (manual/software) with real-time updates.
Generate daily/weekly/monthly stock reports for management.
Coordinate with accounts for material bills verification and consumption reports.
5. Coordination:
Work closely with Purchase, Accounts, and Production teams for smooth workflow.
Inform management in advance about low stock levels and material requirements.
Support internal and external audits with required stock data.
Skills & Competencies Required:
Knowledge of inventory control methods and storekeeping practices.
Familiarity with fabrication raw materials (steel plates, sections, fasteners, welding consumables, etc.).
Computer proficiency (MS Excel, ERP/Inventory software preferred).
Good communication and coordination skills.
Accuracy, attention to detail, and record-keeping ability.
Qualification & Experience:
Graduate / Diploma in Commerce, Material Management, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in stock/inventory management, preferably in fabrication / engineering / manufacturing industry.
