The Stock Auditor is responsible for ensuring accurate stock records, verifying inventory, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining proper documentation. The role involves regular audits of physical and system-based inventory to support accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular physical stock audits across all warehouses, stores, or storage locations.
Reconcile physical stock with inventory records and identify discrepancies.
Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting variances, issues, and recommendations.
Verify stock movement, receipt, and dispatch records for accuracy.
Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and internal policies.
Coordinate with store managers, warehouse staff, and accounts team during audits.
Assist in implementing improvements in inventory management processes.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive inventory and financial information.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Prior experience in stock auditing, inventory management, or accounting preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Work Environment:
May require travel to multiple store or warehouse locations.
Exposure to warehouse operations and physical stock handling.
