The Steward / Waiter is responsible for providing courteous, prompt, and efficient food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience in accordance with hotel standards and service procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
Welcome and greet guests politely and ensure proper seating arrangements.
Present menus, explain menu items, and assist guests in selecting food and beverages.
Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen/bar through the POS or order system.
Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally as per hotel service standards.
Ensure tables are properly set with clean crockery, cutlery, glassware, and linen before service.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant, service stations, and assigned areas.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and correct service.
Handle guest requests and complaints courteously and report issues to the supervisor immediately.
Clear tables efficiently and prepare them for the next guests.
Ensure proper handling and care of hotel property, crockery, cutlery, and equipment.
Adhere strictly to hotel rules, SOPs, grooming standards, and uniform guidelines.
Attend daily briefings, training sessions, and departmental meetings as scheduled.
Support colleagues and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Ensure guest satisfaction and contribute positively to the overall guest experience.
