Job Summary
The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen and service areas of the restaurant. The role supports kitchen and service staff by ensuring all utensils, equipment, and areas meet health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and glassware
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage, and service areas at all times
Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing supplies and ingredients
Dispose of waste and garbage following hygiene and safety procedures
Support kitchen staff with basic tasks when required
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors
Follow restaurant policies, SOPs, and health regulations
Requirements & Qualifications
Previous experience as a steward or kitchen helper preferred (not mandatory)
Knowledge of basic hygiene and sanitation practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
Skills & Competencies
Attention to cleanliness and detail
Time management
Ability to follow instructions
Basic understanding of food safety
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
