The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen and service areas. The role supports the kitchen and service teams by ensuring all utensils, equipment, and workstations are clean and ready for use, contributing to smooth operations and a positive guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:1. Cleaning & Hygiene
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, cutlery, and crockery.
Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, sinks, and kitchen floors.
Follow hygiene and safety standards as per company and FSSAI guidelines.
Dispose of waste properly and manage garbage segregation.
2. Kitchen Support
Ensure all cooking equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
Assist chefs in basic prep work if required (peeling, chopping, organizing).
Refill soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning supplies as needed.
Support in receiving and storing kitchen supplies.
3. Inventory & Storage
Keep track of kitchen tools and equipment and report damages.
Ensure proper storage of utensils and supplies to avoid breakage.
4. Coordination & Teamwork
Work closely with chefs, service staff, and the kitchen manager.
Respond quickly to cleaning requests during peak hours.
Maintain discipline, punctuality, and professional behaviour.
