The K-12 Curriculum Developer plays a crucial role in designing and enhancing Whizara's education initiatives, ensuring alignment with educational standards and goals. This position involves collaborating with Whizara's instructors, administrators, and other stakeholders to create engaging and effective curricula that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation among students.

Responsibilities:



Lead the creation and refinement of comprehensive media arts curricula, integrating innovative teaching strategies and educational best practices to develop engaging lesson plans, activities, and assessments. Ensure curricula are aligned with academic standards, learning goals, and assessment benchmarks. Manage the rollout of educational programs, monitor their effectiveness, and make data-informed adjustments to enhance student learning outcomes. Develop and organize instructional resources, including teaching materials, technology tools, and professional development opportunities for Whizara's instructors. Train and support instructors in effective pedagogical techniques, technology integration, and student-centered teaching methods. Promote a culture of continuous learning by organizing and facilitating workshops, training sessions, and webinars. Build and sustain partnerships with industry leaders, academic institutions, and community organizations to support program growth and relevance. Work with external collaborators to design experiential learning opportunities such as internships, mentorships, and project-based learning experiences. Design and execute assessment frameworks to evaluate student learning and program success. Analyze performance data and feedback to drive curriculum enhancements and future development initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and marketing teams to design new courses based on demand, craft course messaging, and coordinate logistics for successful implementation. Assist in the review and evaluation of instructor applications as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in a Media Arts, Computer Science or Engineering (Master's degree preferred) with a strong understanding of educational theory and practice. Prior experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational leadership roles. Knowledge of K-12 Computer science education and CTE standards, pedagogical approaches, and assessment techniques. Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders Experience in teacher training, professional development facilitation, or workshop delivery. Familiarity with educational technology tools and software applications used in Media Arts and STEM instruction Willingness to stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in the target fields and educational practices
