Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage audit engagements for banking clients, ensuring high-quality delivery within timelines.
Develop and maintain client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for audit-related queries.
Stay updated with regulatory changes and industry trends impacting banking audits, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Supervise and mentor audit teams, providing guidance and support to ensure professional development.
Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and reports prepared by team members.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient audit planning and execution.
Provide insights and recommendations to clients on improving internal controls and financial processes.
Assist in business development activities, including preparing proposals and participating in client meetings.
Qualifications:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in the BFSI sector, specifically in banking audit roles.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, audit standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to banking institutions.
Proven experience in managing audit engagements and leading teams effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office suite and audit software/tools.
