Job Description

A Station Associate, particularly in the context of Amazon's Delivery Station, is responsible for receiving, sorting, and preparing packages for delivery. They utilize technology to scan and manage orders, ensuring packages are ready for drivers to pick up. This role is integral to the final stage of the delivery process before packages reach customers. Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Preparing Inventory:

Receiving incoming truck deliveries and sorting them based on destination.

Using Technology:

Utilizing smartphones and handheld devices to scan, sort, and prepare orders for delivery.

Building and Moving Packages:

Building pallets, wrapping packages, sorting them, and transporting them to designated areas for drivers.

Following Instructions:

Viewing prompts on screens and following directions from supervisors.

Ensuring Accuracy:

Checking packages for damage or defects before loading them onto delivery vehicles.
Specific Tasks:

Unloading Packages:

Removing packages from incoming trucks.

Sorting Packages:

Sorting packages based on area or customer.

Scanning Packages:

Scanning packages to track them and ensure they are properly assigned to delivery routes.

Assigning to Drivers:

Allotting scanned packages to Delivery Associates for delivery.
Additional Notes:

This role often involves physical activity and working in a fast-paced environment. Station Associates work as part of a team to ensure efficient delivery operations.
