Job Description

A Station Associate, especially in the context of a delivery station like Amazon's, is responsible for receiving, sorting, and preparing packages for delivery. They use technology to scan and manage orders, ensuring packages are ready for drivers to pick up. This role also involves tasks like unloading, sorting, organizing, and loading packages. Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Preparing Packages:

Unloading incoming packages, sorting them by destination or delivery associate, and preparing them for loading onto delivery vehicles.

Scanning and Sorting:

Using handheld devices to scan packages, track their movement, and ensure accurate sorting.

Order Management:

Utilizing technology to manage orders, track inventory, and ensure packages are properly labeled and organized for delivery.

Loading and Staging:

Loading packages onto delivery vehicles, staging them for delivery associates, and ensuring they are organized and ready for delivery.

Customer Service:

Providing in-station support to customers regarding their package delivery, assisting with inquiries, and resolving issues.

Inventory Management:

Ensuring accurate inventory records, managing storage, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Safety Compliance:

Following safety protocols, adhering to proper handling procedures, and reporting any safety concerns.
Additional Tasks:

Handling Returns:

Processing returned customer packages and preparing them for shipment.

Collecting Payments:

Handling cash and processing payments for packages if applicable.

Maintaining a Clean Environment:

Keeping the station tidy and organized, ensuring a safe working environment.

Following Instructions:

Adhering to instructions provided by supervisors and following established procedures.
