Role Overview:

The

State Operations Head

will be responsible for end-to-end execution and operational performance across the assigned state. This includes managing project installations, service delivery, vendor management, manpower allocation, customer satisfaction, and ensuring adherence to company standards and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all solar project operations across the state (residential & commercial). Oversee project planning, execution, and commissioning within defined timelines and budgets. Manage regional operations teams -- Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Technicians. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards. Maintain operational KPIs including TAT, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with central functions -- design, procurement, logistics, and sales. Vendor management and onboarding of local subcontractors for installations and maintenance. Drive process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce project lead times. Monitor state-level financial performance -- project costs, profitability, and operational efficiency. Handle customer escalations and ensure timely resolution. Build and train the operations team to ensure capacity for scale-up.

Requirements:

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering (MBA preferred).

Experience:

6 - 8 years in solar or renewable energy project execution, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record in large-scale solar rooftop or utility operations. Strong understanding of project management, safety compliance, and quality standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, Project Management Tools, and CRM systems. Willingness to travel across the state as per business needs.
