Job Summary
The
State Head - Odisha
will lead, manage, and grow
skill training and placement operations
of NIFA Infocom Skill Centers across the state. This role ensures alignment with
corporate strategy

government skill mission guidelines

quality delivery
, and
stakeholder engagement
.
The incumbent will be responsible for overall coordination, execution, monitoring, and performance of all skill development programs and centers within Odisha.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Lead the
planning, implementation, and execution
of NIFA's skill initiatives in Odisha.
Set state-specific targets (enrollment, training completions, placements, partnerships) in alignment with organizational goals.
Drive growth of centers, courses, and project expansions across districts.
Training & Quality Assurance
Ensure
high-quality training delivery
through standardized curricula, experienced trainers, and compliance with NSDC/SSC/State guidelines.
Monitor classroom activities, training outcomes, and student feedback for continuous improvement.
Government & Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with
Dept. of Skill Development & Technical Education, Odisha agencies
, NGOs, and industry partners.
Coordinate with District Authorities, Employment Exchanges, and placement partners.
Performance Management
Track key performance metrics -- enrollments, retention, certification, placements, revenues, and budgets.
Prepare and present regular reports to corporate leadership.
Marketing & Outreach
Strengthen brand visibility through community outreach, career fairs, counselor engagements.
Build relationships with schools, colleges, and local employers to drive enrollments & placements.
Operations & Compliance
Oversee centers' operations -- infrastructure, documentation, compliance, HR, and audits.
Ensure adherence to NSDC/State Government guidelines and schemes.
Team Leadership
Recruit, train, mentor, and lead center managers and field teams.
Ensure alignment of performance goals and capacity building within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in Management, Education, Social Science, or related field.
Postgraduate / MBA preferred.
Experience
5+ years of experience
in skill development, training management, project management, or related leadership role.
Experience working with government skill missions, vocational training providers, or large NGOs is preferred.
Skills
Strong leadership & people management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
Data-driven mindset and ability to drive performance.
Understanding of NSDC/SSC training frameworks and skill ecosystem.
