BMC is looking for innovative customer champions to join our dynamic and DevX-focused Technical Support Team, empowering developers and enterprises across the globe to run and reinvent.
In this role, you will support BMC's COBOL debugging tools within TSO and CICS environments-critical components of our Developer Experience (DevX) solutions. These tools enable mainframe developers to work more efficiently and productively, and your role is essential to ensuring they do so with confidence and success.
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

• Provide expert technical support for DevX solutions, specifically COBOL debugging tools in TSO and CICS environments

• Partner with developers and technical teams to troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve issues related to COBOL program execution, compiling, and debugging

• Work across Windows and mainframe systems to install, configure, and recreate real-world customer scenarios, accelerating fix resolution and product quality

• Act as a key enabler of a seamless developer experience by managing support requests and delivering timely, clear, and actionable guidance

• Document all support activity with precision-from initial issue through resolution-helping grow our shared knowledge base and improve team efficiency

Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to escalate complex issues and contribute insights to improve DevX tools
Requirements

• You have hands-on experience with COBOL programming and debugging in TSO and CICS environments

• You are comfortable working across both mainframe and Windows platforms, with strong troubleshooting skills

• You understand the needs of developers and are passionate about enabling great developer experiences

• You are detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality, customer-centric support

• You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can clearly articulate technical concepts to a range of audiences

• You are open to participating in occasional on-call support during evenings and weekends as part of a team rotation

• You embrace and embody BMC's core values in every interaction

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,117,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
