Job Overview


Come join the Intuit as a "Staff Software Engineer". Our team leads a new initiative at Intuit, working on our transformation into an AI-driven expert platform. At the heart of this transformation is the creation of a secure, modern, blazing fast and finely curated map of the world's financial information, provided to Intuit with trust and care by tens of millions of people and businesses worldwide. Our team is building the products, workflows and methodologies that will be used to profoundly change the way we all manage our financial lives


Responsibilities


Drive significant technology initiatives end-to-end and across multiple layers of architecture. Drive end to end design and implementation of Data platform applications. Design & Develop data solutions/applications. Architect and develop scalable applications or systems. Drive the design and implementation of durable software solutions to solve critical customer problems that are scalable, secure, easy to maintain, and interact with numerous other systems. Provide recommendations and best practices for application development, platform development, and developer tools. Actively stay abreast of industry best practices, share learnings, and experiment and apply cutting edge technologies. Provide/inspire innovations that fuel the growth of Intuit as a whole and generate creative ideas for emerging business needs. Work with global, cross-functional teams across time zones. Communicate clearly, succinctly, and persuasively to all levels of employees, customers, and management (including executives) Proactively identify opportunities to enhance software applications with AI technology Coach and mentor junior engineers on best practices of software engineering, leveraging AI to enhance applications, and building their technical expertise to ensure efficient and effective outcomes Launch AI integrations in production and evaluate their impact on software performance and user satisfaction, using appropriate metrics Roughly 70-85% hands-on coding

Qualifications


8+ years of software development experience. Experience working with Self-Serve Data Platforms. Extensive experience working with programming languages (Java, Scala, Python) Proficient with data processing technologies like Spark. Any Spring boot experience is a plus. AI/Agent/MCP knowledge work. Familiarisation with AWS infrastructure and cloud-native technologies. Willingness to take initiative and unblock yourself to get things done. Ability to deliver work incrementally to get feedback and iterate over solutions. Have a passion for working on User facing features and workflows that are highly reliable, maintainable, scalable and secure You are easy to work with: you communicate well, take feedback in a positive way and are OK not always doing the most glamorous tasks. Experience building/contributing to data processing platform solutions Proven track record of innovating and influencing to provide novel and effective solutions to difficult software engineering problems Demonstrated entrepreneurial perspective in ideation and implementation. Experience in databricks is a plus.
