Staff Software Engineer



We have an opportunity for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Core DDI team in Bangalore, reporting to the senior manager of Engineering. In this role, you will work on our NIOS product with a team focused on solving massive scale performance challenges while building and maintaining next-generation network actionable intelligence products. You will also gain deep expertise in the Infoblox Network Services Appliance product line and will have an opportunity to mentor new engineers on your team. Be a Contributor -- What You'll Do



Develop and enhance features over DNS/DHCP protocols Interact with Product Management, QA, and support for the best end-to-end customer experience Performance tuning, scalability, and optimization Coordinate with development teams for release planning Improve scalability and manageability of the Core DDI product line and for distributed virtualized environments Design and develop algorithms to solve complex application problems, system administration, and other network concerns Work with sustaining engineering and customer technical support to diagnose and resolve challenging field issues

Be Prepared -- What You Bring



12+ years of experience in Linux internals, C, Python, shell scripting and algorithms Hands-on experience with networking protocols like DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF Contribution to open-source projects Solid debugging and problem-solving skills A willingness to work on customer escalations and NIOS platform enhancements A great attitude and willingness to be a good team player A four-year degree in CS, CE, EE, or equivalent is required
