Staff Software Engineer - AI Platform (Java, AWS, Docker)

Must-Have


Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering strategic platforms.

Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Go, Python, JavaScript).

Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience with AI and machine learning engineering platforms (e.g., MCP, A2A).

Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.

Experience with SCRUM/Lean Agile frameworks and MVP delivery.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills for technical audiences.

Ability to prioritise work, resolve conflicts, and manage delivery across multiple efforts.

Detail-oriented, self-organised, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:


Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures for AI-driven platforms.

Ensure architectural decisions align with business goals and technical standards.

Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to integrate architecture into product roadmaps.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems.

Drive adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance platform capabilities.

Champion agile practices, including MVP and iterative development approaches.

Promote transparency, predictability, and collaboration across engineering teams.

Advocate for organisation-wide best practices in ideation, delivery, and customer engagement.

Model inclusive behaviours and company cultural attributes.

Exercise sound judgment when navigating risks, blockers, or trade-offs
