Okta is The World's Identity Company. We free everyone to safely use any technology--anywhere, on any device or app. Our Workforce and Customer Identity Clouds enable secure yet flexible access, authentication, and automation that transforms how people move through the digital world, putting Identity at the heart of business security and growth.
At Okta, we celebrate a variety of perspectives and experiences. We are not looking for someone who checks every single box - we're looking for lifelong learners and people who can make us better with their unique experiences.
Join our team! We're building a world where Identity belongs to you.
About the Team
Tired of hacking together a login system for every new application or microservice that you need to deploy? Want to contribute to a platform that makes authentication for any application super simple? Then Okta's Developer Community Products team needs you!
If you're passionate about open-source development and have a solid background in application development with Go, we want you on our team. You'll be instrumental in building and maintaining Okta's automated tools for generating and managing OpenAPI specifications, directly impacting the platform's developer experience. You'll also work closely with leadership to define and execute our technical vision.
About the Role
In this role you will be working on the leading edge of our Open Source Software (OSS) program and will gain invaluable experience with library design and development, as well as interacting with a community of engaged developers who use your work on a daily basis. This role provides the opportunity to implement clean, well-tested code, adhering to our high standards for quality and maintainability. You will also have the ability to help guide the direction of this team by building technical designs and working with product management to build the roadmap.
Okta is an extensible identity platform and our APIs allow developers at companies of all sizes to integrate Okta into their own applications. The Developer Community Products team is responsible for empowering developers by identifying common use cases and creating tools and SDKs that simplify Okta integrations, while helping them understand our product and the protocols that we support.
We are a polyglot team and while we are looking to scale our Golang and Java engineering, we also value a generalist mindset and co-learning across stacks. We work closely as a team to design solutions that work across languages and environments.
