Position Summary This role is specifically designed to lead our new Ecosystem Engineering initiative, which puts you in a position to build from scratch a foundation on which Harness\' ecosystem can thrive. Harness has built an industry-leading Developer Platform that believes in enabling our customers and users with any tool of their choice. Ecosystem Engineering will be directly responsible for envisioning, building, launching, and ensuring success for all ecosystem partner integrations, that allow our customers to use their tools of choice with the Harness Platform. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that requires immense cross-functional execution spanning Engineering, Sales, Marketing, UX, Research, Customer Success, and Support. About The Role Design, develop, and maintain critical software in a fast-paced, quality-conscious environment Design, develop, and maintain critical software in a fast-paced, quality-conscious environment, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality. Author software functional specifications and design documents, Lead the design and architecture discussions, ensuring best practices are followed Quickly understand complex systems/code and own key pieces of the system, including the delivered quality Design and implementation of scalable integrations, frameworks, APIs, libraries, and more Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems in a distributed computing environment. This includes debugging, root cause analysis, and implementing fixes. Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specs, API documentation, and user manuals. Ensure the software and integrations are thoroughly tested, either by writing unit tests, integration tests, or overseeing quality assurance processes. Perform peer reviews of specifications, designs, and code. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Work alongside Site Reliability Engineers and cross-functional teams to diagnose/troubleshoot any performance-related issues in production environments. We work in Java, Golang, and Python. Our systems are built on top of Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, GCP (Stackdriver), GCS, Cloud Composer, and the AI Platform.
