Summary In this role you will be responsible for designing and programming software modules/sub systems as a Staff SW engineer on integration of applications or platform components in creating enterprise application products and workflow solutions. You will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. You will also be responsible to lead design discussion and mentor other junior team members. Roles and Responsibilities In this role, you will: Lead in technical discussions Lead in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding. Be an expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the project Drive design reviews, define interfaces between code modules, and applies existing technology to designs. Apply principles of Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques. Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards. Work closely with your peers and keep engaging in a fast pace technical design and development team and execute in a fast-paced delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal. Maintain and drive code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation. Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse, Seek and provide feedback on design and development. Understand whole product, its modules and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module. Developing product in highly regulated industry. Compliant with relevant QMS Quality Management System processes during development. Help in designing interfaces and information exchange between modules. Possess advanced domain knowledge and show great customer focus. Expert in processes / methodologies and Skilled in build, release & deployment processes. Articulate the need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality through testing. Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities. Educational Qualification: Bachelor\'s degree or Master\'s in computer science or related field. Overall 10+ Years of strong experience in software engineering and Product Development. Essentials Skills: Experience in Windows based Application programming Experience in relational Databases SQL Server/PostGres as a developer understanding Database design and data models Good knowledge of C#, Object oriented programming, WebAPI and RESTful services Experience developing interfaces to enable or support integration Good knowledge of Web Application or UI development Hands-on following Software Design principles and patterns Familiarity with version control Software: Git, Perforce Familia rity with deployment tools like Jenkins Excellent knowledge of debugging tools to address performance and reliability bottlenecks. Good knowledge in unit testing using CppUnit/GTest and mock frameworks. Experience in scripting languages like Python/JavaScript Experience in Agile development practices: Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD). Desired Characteristics: Experience working on software projects in the Healthcare domain. Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale. Able to speak to mutual needs and win-win solutions. Uses two-way communication to influence outcomes and ongoing results. Knowledge of FDA, HIPAA, HL7, FHIR OR DICOM -Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine protocols.
