TestStrategy&Framework Development:

• Architectandimplementend-to-endautomatedtestingframeworkstailoredfordata lakes, warehouses, and ETL pipelines.
• Developcomprehensivetestplans, includingfunctional,integration,regression, performance, and security testing, for big data systems.
• Defineandimplementdataqualitychecks, datavalidationprocesses,andmonitoring pipelines to ensure system reliability.

Leadership&Mentorship

• ActasatechnicalleaderbymentoringSeniorSDETsandJuniorSDETs onbest practices,advanced testingmethodologies,andinnovativeapproachestoquality assurance.
• Provideguidanceoncomplex datatestingscenarios,debuggingstrategies,andthe adoption of emerging testing tools and techniques.

PerformanceOptimization:

• Establishtesting KPIstomeasuretheperformance,reliability,andscalabilityofdata pipelines and applications.
• Identifyandaddressbottlenecksindataprocessingandtransformationworkflows through rigorous performance testing.

Collaboration& Communication:

• Collaboratewithdataengineers,productmanagers,andDevOpsteams toensure testing efforts align with business and technical goals.
• Participateincross-functionaldesign discussionstoproactivelyidentifyqualityrisks and advocate for testable and maintainable system designs.
• Communicateteststrategies,progress, andresultseffectivelytostakeholders,including non-technical audiences.

• Research,evaluate,andimplementcutting-edgetoolsandtechnologiestoimprove testing efficiency, coverage, and reliability.

• Supportproductionenvironmentsbymonitoringdataqualityandaddressingon-call issues during critical escalations.
• PartnerwithDevOpsteamstoenhance CI/CDpipelines,ensuring smoothintegrationof automated tests and deployments.

Knowledge,Skills,&Qualifications
Required:

• ExtensiveProgrammingExpertise:MasteryofPython, SQL,andother scripting languages for building advanced testing tools and frameworks.
• ETLTesting Tools:In-depthknowledgeofETLtesting toolssuchasPytest,PyDeequ, Soda, Great Expectations, and AWS Glue Data Quality.
• BigDataExpertise:In-depthknowledge ofbigdatatoolslikeApacheSpark,Kafka,and Airflow, with experience testing and validating large-scale data pipelines.
• CloudPlatforms:AdvancedexpertisewithAWSbigdataservicesGlueandAirflow including hands-on experience designing and testing cloud-based data solutions.
• LeadershipSkills:Proven abilitytoleadandmentor teams,providingtechnical guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Report Tools: Hands-on experience with reporting and visualization tools such as AmazonQuickSight,Tableau, orPowerBI,withtheabilitytovalidatereportaccuracy and integrity.
• DataGovernance:Strongunderstandingofdatagovernanceprinciples,including privacy, security, and compliance best practices.
• DataStreams:DeepexpertiseinstreamingtechnologiessuchasKafka,Kinesis,or equivalent, with experience testing real-time data pipelines.
• DevOpsIntegration:ExpertiseinCI/CDprocesses,infrastructureascode, and containerized deployment using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
• Excellentproblem-solvinganddebuggingskills forresolvingcomplex technicalissues.
