Job Summary: As a Staff QA Engineer, you will work in an Agile development environment to design, develop, automate & implement solutions for testing Android TV/STB features.
You will be responsible for validating Android applications running on a set-top box, combining with manual testing of traditional STB features, OTT supported applications and delivering them against test plans.
You will have the opportunity to design, develop & implement solutions for automation testing of the features and help enhance our framework based on prior experience promoting our test automation agenda.
To apply for this role, you’ll need to have several years’ experience in Software testing and Test Plan creation in the related domain. You must be experienced working in an Agile environment and be able to script test cases in a test automation framework.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manual testing of the overall system using appropriate testing techniques and automation solutions
• Support in Test automation development on Android TV/ Setup Box products
• Develop new automation scripts and enhance the existing scripts independently
• Contribute to reviews, updates, and maintenance of test procedures.
• Actively participate in Backlog Prioritization and Estimating User Stories.
• Analyze User Requirements and Create Test Strategies and Feature Test Plans.
• Collaborate with other scrum team members and product owners.
• Ensure completion of the planned Testing according to timelines.
• Continuously learn & improve skills

Skills Required (Mandatory):

• Excellent Python knowledge & experience in writing test scripts for Regression Test automation.
• Strong manual system testing experience on Android TV, Setup Box features.
• Good understanding of STB features on DVB, IPTV, OTT, Linux.
• Working knowledge of test management, defect management, and collaboration tools.
• Experienced in Test Case creation, review, and maintenance.
• Experience in SCRUM methodologies or have played a SCRUM master role.
• Proven ability to work and deliver within fixed project timescales.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Skills Required (Preferred):

• GTS/CTS Certification experience, any other 3rd Party OTT certifications (Netflix, YouTube, Amazon)
• Exposure to Jenkins, GIT hub, SVN & code management application is preferred.
• ISTQB Foundation/Advanced Level Software Testing.
• Scrum Master Certification.
• Ability to quickly understand new technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
